Singer, the British car manufacturer known for its meticulous reinterpretations of classic Porsches, has unveiled a reimagined Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. The Singer treatment goes beyond mere backdating, featuring a distinctive pair of fog lights that pop up from small circular enclosures in the hood. Under the hood, Singer’s 4.0-liter flat-six engine churns out 420 horsepower. The engine’s 8,000-rpm rev range is optimized for the 6-speed manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels.

Suspension is comprised of four-way adjustable dampers electronically controlled and incorporating a nose-lift system. These dampers are bolted to a reinforced chassis, based on Singer’s intimate knowledge of the 964 body shell. Drivers can toggle through Road, Sport, Track, Weather, and Off modes for further adjustability.

Carbon-ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted to 18-inch center-lock wheels contribute to the car’s driver confidence. The interior emphasizes craftsmanship while keeping technology at arm’s length, featuring modern conveniences like navigation and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Customers can customize materials and color schemes, as well as substitute the standard seats for lighter, more track-worthy chairs.

Singer will build 75 Carrera Cabriolets, a number lower than the 100 coupes. The company has confirmed that turbocharged cars, including a new series inspired by the outrageous 934/5 race car of the late 1970s, are still in the works.
