We took the bZ Woodland on a quick excursion to test its mettle, and it proved to be more than up to the task. The electric motors provided plenty of torque to climb steep trails, and the X-Mode system found plenty of traction to manage the vehicle’s speed when returning downhill.
Inside, the bZ Woodland is virtually identical to the standard bZ, with a 14-inch touchscreen and a digital gauge cluster. The infotainment is easy to use, and the bZ Woodland retains physical controls for important functions such as temperature and volume. The cabin is spacious, with plenty of legroom and headroom, although the bottom seat cushion is a bit flat and low.
The bZ Woodland starts at $46,750, which is competitive with other two-row mid-size electric SUVs like the Chevy Blazer EV and Honda Prologue. While the range estimates aren’t stellar, especially with the all-terrain tires, the bZ Woodland makes up for it with plenty of power, a smooth ride, and lots of standard equipment. Whether you’re a family looking for a practical electric SUV or someone who wants a rugged wagon for off-road adventures, the Toyota bZ Woodland is definitely worth considering.
